The Francis MCP server brings your financial models into the AI clients your team already uses, including Claude and ChatGPT. It’s available today on every Francis plan at no extra cost.
The Francis Agent answers questions about your data inside Francis. But finance work also happens in other tools, and your numbers should be available there too.
Until now, that meant pasting Excel exports into a chat. An export is a static snapshot without account mappings or budget versions, and it’s outdated after the next ERP sync.
With the Francis MCP server, your AI client reads directly from your model, including mappings, versions and the latest data. Your group financials stay in Francis, and every answer reflects the current numbers.
A workspace owner needs to enable MCP access in Settings → AI. At launch, the Francis MCP server supports Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot and Grok.
Once enabled, you’ll find client-specific setup instructions in Settings → Connected Apps. For example, to connect Claude:
Open your Claude account
Select Customize, then Connectors
Search for Francis
Click Connect
You can read more about the Francis MCP and find client-specific setup instructions in our documentation. Contact our team at [email protected], if you have trouble connecting.
As with the Francis Agent, the Francis MCP server inherits the permissions of the member who connects it. An agent can never access data that member can’t access themselves.
Only workspace owners decide which clients members can connect, and they can enable or disable individual clients directly from settings.
